Referral programs can be lucrative if you know a lot of people.
Some are more rewarding than others though.
For instance, I love the Shopkick app.
It gives me an easy $50+ a month for walking into stores for 10-15 minutes on my commute home.
The Shopkick referral program only gives me $1 though, so I am not disappointed if people don’t use my link.
That is nothing.
The programs on this list will reward you with at least $10 or more per referral though.
At a minimum of ten dollars, if you referred ten friends that would be an easy hundred bucks.
A lot are more than $10 too.
Again, if you know a lot of people, this can be lucrative.
If you are new to these programs, use our links and support the blog.
A lot of referral programs will only give you a sign up bonus if you use a referral anyway.
Here are the ten top referral programs.
7 Lucrative Reward Programs To Refer Your Friends & Family To
1. Ibotta
I start with Ibotta because I think it is one of the easiest referral programs.
Your referral will get $20 for signing up, so this could be a no brainer even if they won’t use the app.
They won’t get the $20 without using a referral though.
They could just sign up, & make a $20 profit again.
Make sure they scan their first receipt (“any receipts” don’t count).
Honestly, since everyone has to buy groceries, most people should be using Ibotta anyway.
You are going to buy groceries.
Why not get cash back for it?
If not signed up for Ibotta, use our referral here and get $20.
Then, refer your friends.
Remember, you won’t get $20 without a referral, so use our link.

2. Rakuten
Rakuten will give you $25-$40 for each referral.
Your referral must spend $25-$40.
Rakuten is a cash back site.
You get cash back on your online purchases.
If you shop online, and are not using a cash back site, you are leaving money on the table.
If not a member of Rakuten yet, sign up here to get $25-40.
Then, refer your friends.
Keep in mind that Rakuten only allows you to cash out four times a year though.
It can take that long to build your cash up though.

3. Dosh
The Dosh app will give you $10 for each referral.
I will write a review for Dosh later.
Honestly, without a referral, it takes me a while to build up my cash on Dosh.
You need $25 to cash out.
You can just make money with the $10 referral though.
I still think the Dosh app is useful though.
For instance, a restaurant like Subway will offer 5% off.
If you have a reward credit card, you could be getting almost 10% back on restaurants (3-4% back from a reward credit card and 5% back from Dosh).
That is still some savings.
Again, it takes $25 to cash out though.
If new to Dosh, use our referral and refer your friends here.
If you find the Dosh app takes too long to cash out, you can just get $10 for referring your friends and family and tell them to do the same.
4. Swagbucks/MyPoints
Swagbucks and MyPoints will reward you with 10% of your referral’s earnings.
Given that people make hundreds with Swagbucks Discover/MyPoints Deals, this can be lucrative.
This can be much greater than $10 for each referral.
Both sites give you $3 for referrals too.
Again, I find this to be greater than $10 per referral.
I got $50 from my mother’s referral alone this summer.
Make sure to sign up for both Swagbucks and MyPoints.
They are owned by the same company (Prodege) but different websites.
Sometimes, one site will have a higher offer for the same offer.

5. Mr. Rebates
Mr. Rebates, like Swagbucks and MyPoints, gives you a percentage of your referral’s earning.
You get 20% back.
This can be huge.
If new to Mr. Rebates, sign up here
6. Most shopping portals
The other shopping portals besides Rakuten and Mr. Rebates will reward you with usually at least $10 though some are only $5.
Here is a list with links to sign up:
If you are not using a cash back portal, you are leaving money on the table again.
It usually helps to be signed up for multiple portals to get the best rate.

7. Fetch
Fetch is not as lucrative as the others on this list.
Usually, you only get $2 for referring people.
On certain days, you can get $3 or $4.(usually weekends).
Make sure your referral scans a receipt.
I included this because it is very simple.
Refer Family & Friends To Credit Cards Too
You can also refer your friends and family to any credit card you have.
Most will give at least $100 per referral.
For example, the Chase Freedom card will give you $100 per referral.
The Chase Sapphire Preferred will give you $200 for referring your friends although you will get more value by using that for travel (will be worth more than $200 if used on travel).
Credit card referrals are more lucrative, but you have to get people to sign up and get approved for a credit card.
Most cards allow you to refer up to five people a year.
This can be very lucrative again.
