Bank account bonuses can put hundreds in your pocket.

I try to do at least one a month.

They are my highest sources of extra income in addition to Swagbucks/MyPoints Deals.

Most bank bonuses require switching your direct deposit though.

Read our guide to see how to do this (sometimes without even needing a real direct deposit).

In any case, the Nearside business bank bonus does not require a direct deposit.

That makes it one of the easier bank bonuses.

I recently got an easy $90 within a week.

It was easy money

I know a lot of people don’t think they own a business.

If you tutor, babysit, work in gig economy (food delivery, Uber/Lyft, etc.), you have a business.

If you don’t have a business, sometimes they don’t check or even ask.

It is up to you to apply.

I think most people should be completing business bank account bonuses though.

Read later in this post to see why I think this as well as more information on why most people qualify.

You don’t have to lie or falsify information.

Here is all the information on how to complete this bonus from Nearside, and get your easy $90.

What is Nearside?

Nearside is a free business checking account that offers banking to sole proprietors and small business owners.

Nearside is not a bank, but it offers banking services through Lending Club Bank which means your money is FDIC insured.

It is a fintech company like Aspiration.

The bank was called Hatch, but has been rebranded as Nearside.

In the past, they charged a $10 fee.

The fee was removed last year.

This is not a bad business account.

Many business checking accounts charge a fee.

It even has a high 2.2 % cash back on debit card purchases.

I don’t think this feature will last long, so you can take advantage of it.

Most debit cards don’t give cash back

Nearside bank features:

  • No monthly fees
  • No monthly minimum requirements
  • No NSF fees
  • 2.2 % cashback with debit card in 2022

How to Withdraw Money

  • ACH transfer
  • Wire transfer
  • Request mailed check
  • ATM withdrawals at AllPoint ATMs (which are everywhere like CVS, Walgreens, etc.)
  • Point of sale withdrawals (i.e. getting cash back at Walmart after purchase)

How To Deposit Money

  • ACH transfer
  • Wire transfer
  • Mailed check
  • Mobile deposit checks

Remember, online banks do not make it easy to deposit cash.

The best (no fee way) to deposit cash is to transfer from your bank.

This can take up to 3 days though.

You can transfer immediately from services like PayPal, but there will be a fee.

There will also be a fee to deposit money into PayPal (around $3).

I don’t recommend the PayPal way because of the fees.

The offer

The promotion has two parts:

  • Get $50 by using a referral and spending $100 on new debit card (Use this link).
  • Get 20% back on your first deposit as a new user, maximum $40 (deposit $200)

How To Complete Both Bonuse

Here is how to complete both bonuses, and get $90.

Bonus #1: Get $50 referral bonus

  1. Open Nearside Business Checking use this referral link.
  2. Spend $100 on your new Nearside Debit Card when it comes in the mail.
  3. Receive your $50 as a statement credit in 90 days. Mine posted the next day

Bonus #2: Get $40 Deposit Bonus

  1. Deposit $200 (max to get $40 back at 20%). Use external account to transfer to Nearside. This moves faster than transferring from Nearside.
  2. After transfer from external bank, your $40 will post the next day (at least mine did).

How I Completed Both Bonuses Quickly

I got my $90 a couple days after I got the debit card in the mail.

Here is how I did both bonuses in steps:

Step 1: Open account use this link

Step 2: Deposit $200 from external account. I took the long way and transferred from Nearside. My $40 posted as soon as deposit registered.

Step 3: After receiving debit card in the mail, I spent $100 on debit card by purchasing a 15 cent banana at Walmart and getting $100 of my $200 back.

This gave me an extra 2.2 % back.

The debit card gives 2.2% back on all purchases again.

The next day, I received my $50 referral bonus again.

Do You Qualify For A Business Checking Bonus (Hint: Most People Do)

Bank account bonuses are one of my highest sources of extra income in addition to Swagbucks/MyPoints again.

Many people think they don’t own a business again.

If you have even sold anything on Ebay, you are considered an entrepreneur.

Other things that qualify you as a business owner include:

  • Tutoring
  • Coaching
  • DoorDash/UberEats
  • Uber/Lyft
  • Instacart
  • Other gig economy

Lastly, I find some banks don’t ask if you have a business.

I think everyone works for themselves.

When asked what your business name is just put your name again if you meet the requirements above.

Business checking bonuses can be easier because a lot have no direct deposit requirement.

They also put some extra money in your pocket.

I want you to get this free easy money.

I will write a more detailed post on qualifying and applying for business bank bonuses later.

Refer Your Friends & Earn More

Get an additional $50 for referring your friends to Nearside too.

You can make up to $500, so you can refer 10 people.,

Just use your unique link.

They must spend $100 on their new debit card for you to receive the bonus.

So, refer all your friends and family after you get your bonus, and make some extra money.

Summary

I found the Nearside business checking bonus very easy.

I made $90 within a week.

Most bank bonuses have that pesky direct deposit requirement.

So, I love any bank bonus with no direct deposit requirement.

Not familar with bank bonuses?

Read our Beginner’s Guide to Bank Bonuses.

Again, most people qualify for business checking account bonuses.

Nearside just asks for the name of your business.

If you do any of the things I mentioned earlier, just put your name again.

Have you done any bank bonuses?

Which ones?
