I have been doing Swagbucks for years again.
It is one of my biggest extra moneymakers.
Like any site, if you do not know which activities to do and which to skip, you could be wasting time.

What is Swagbucks?
Swagbucks is a website that lets you earn points, called Swagbucks, (or SB for short).
The rewards can get redeemed for gift cards or PayPal cash, starting at $5. You get Swagbucks for various activities.
How does Swagbucks work?

- Earn points called SB. (Use some of the multiple ways to earn listed below).
- Exchange points for gift cards or cash.
7 Ways to make money with Swagbucks?
Swagbucks has many ways to make money.
Here are the top ones.
1. Shop online
Swagbucks has a great cash back portal for online shopping.
It is competitive with Rakuten and the other cash back portals we review.
You even get paid quickly (usually in a month). That is quicker than some of the other portals.
I use Swagbucks as my cash back site when they have the highest rates and highly recommend it.

2. Discover offers
This is one of the best features (other than the cash back portal).
I got $20 and a free Hulu subscription for a month.
It was easy free money with no time.
I have since done other offers.
Most big deal sites love this part of Swagbucks.
Not only can you get cash for signing up for free trials, they also have some really great deals.
I suggest you browse it.
Just hit the “Discover” tab and choose “all offers.”
3. Take surveys
Swagbucks is famous for surveys.
In most rankings, it is number one for surveys.
They are a conglomerate of other survey sites and simply have more surveys than others.
Surveys are not for everyone.
If you decide to do them, we highly recommend Swagbucks though.
4. Watch videos
Watching videos is another way to make money from Swagbucks.
Unless you are going to play these in the background, this can be a waste of time.
I hear it works well if you play them in the background though.
Have not had time to try it myself.
5. Search engine
Swagbucks gives you points for your online searches.
I have used this a couple of times when trying to see what is on the Food Network or HGTV (my two favorite channels).
I don’t use it for most of my searches though.
Some people say it works as well as Google or Bing.
It is powered by Yahoo.
Others say it is cluttered and confusing.
You may have to try this for yourself.
6. Play games
I do not play video games.
In case you do, you can check it out though.
7. Refer a friend
Refer friends to Swagbucks and earn money.
You get 300 Swagbucks for each friend after they earn their first 300 points.
You get 10% of their earning for life too.
How much are Swagbucks worth?
Swagbucks are worth $1 for every 100 SB.
If you have 500 Swagbucks, you have $5.
Their currency is intuitive to figure out.
Is it easy to cash out with Swagbucks?
Again, you can redeem Swagbucks for gift cards and PayPal starting at $5 (500 SB).
It is very easy to cash out.
Once you redeem, they say up to 10 business days to receive your gift card or PayPal cash (not instant).
I generally receive both gift cards and Paypal in 1-3 days.
After you hit redeem, it will ask you to verify your information.

I like when I am busy I can easily earn $5 PayPal or any other store with little time.

There is something for everyone.
The only caution I would advise is to watch your time with the parts of the site that can steal time like watching videos or surveys.

It is a question I can answer easily.
This blog is about helping people make spare change (about extra $100 or so per month), but sure will get a lot of people who want to make real income with things like blogging.
It is actually very cheap to start a blog. You just need hosting and a domain name. Most people recommend Bluehost (or at least that is what I read on the internet).
I use IPage.
Bluehost advertises $3 per month, but you have to sign up for year(s) and prepay. I went with Ipage because I could pay monthly. You could change your mind about blogging.
If you use IPage just put addingpennies.com referred you!
You need hosting because you will need the self hosted WordPress.org mot WordPress.com.
I pay $12/month for IPage (first month $6). The domain came free.
I then pay $6 per month for G Suite for business e-mail.
So for $20/month you have a blog.
I use free Mailerlite for email marketing.
So it is very cheap and affordable to start a blog.
Blogging is like any business. It takes hard work and time.

The few times I have had problems with Swagbucks, they usually respond quickly. In all honesty, they responded quicker than other online businesses. They are supposed to have a 24 hour team. I know I had my account locked once with Ibotta, and they took a week. That was very long. For some reason, all these internet companies can take that long, so it is the norm. I am sorry you had a problem with Swagbucks. The few times they did not get me my points for something, they responded quickly. Unfortunately, this seems to be the norm of internet companies. Most of them can take a week to resolve a problem. Like I said, Swagbucks usually resolves any problems I have had quicker than others. I was not very happy to not get my money for a week with Ibotta, but I see it was the norm when read other’s replies. Internet companies are not very quick at resolving things it seems. Again, Swagbucks in my experience was quicker than the others.

clear your thoughts before writing. I have

10 to 15 minutes are usually lost simply just trying to figure

I think I like to write my posts in three steps. First, I write the rough draft on the first day. I make sure to include all the important points in this part such as any research. The second day, I edit it and add all important information after had a day (or couple hours) to clear my thoughts. Then, I do a thorough edit. This last step can be the second day or a third day. I think keeping this rhythm helps me. I think the more consistent you write; it becomes easier to collect your thoughts. The first day, I also start with an outline of the top points (with the major headings). If I don’t make it past that point, I just take some time off and come back later. The more you write, the easier it gets again. Sure you are doing great! Thanks.
